How to create smashed potato sandwich [Indian Style]



  1. Boil potato on a pot
  2. After the potato is boiled properly, take it on a pot and smashed it properly
  3. Cut onions, capsicum, carrot, green chilli and start to fry it
  4. Add salt [and sugar]
  5. Once the vegetables start to turn brown, add smashed potato on it and smashed some more and mix the potato with the vegetable.
  6. Toast two pieces of bread
  7. Put the smashed potato with vegetable inside the two breads


Very easy. And your smashed potato sandwich is ready to serve.

How to make simple bengali curry

1. Cut different types of vegetables like potato, onion, capsicum, carrot, kumro, cauli flower etc..
2. Take oil on a pan.
3. Fry zeera [Kummin] first on it and start to fry it.
4. Put vegetables on the frying pan and start to fry it like the way zeera is mixed with the vegetable properly
5. Add salt [and little sugar]
7. When vegetables will start to become brown, add ginger paste and holud [turmaric powder]
8. Now pour water on it and start to boil


That's it. After the boiling is finished, your bengali curry is ready.

How to cook moosor dal [red] bengali type


  1. Put the dal on a bowl. Clean the dal properly.
  2. Now boil the dal in a pot. Don't put any lid on it.
  3. Add Salt and little sugar
  4. Occasionally bring down the heat if the water is coming out of the pot
  5. Add Holud [Turmaric power] slightly
  6. At the last stage of the boiling, smashed the dal with a  "dal kata".
  7. Cut dhone leaves, oinion, green chilli and fry it in a pot.
  8. Once it is brown add this with the dal and bowl some more.




How to cook rice [bengali type]

1. Take rice on a bowl
2. For 2 people approx 1.5 tea cups of rice is required
3. Wash the rice two times with clean water. Don't clean it more than twice. Then the flavor of rice will get lost.
4. Boil the rice with adequate water.
5. Don't put the lid down while boiling rice.
6. Check time to time whether the rice is boiled or not.


That's it. Your normal rice is ready.
